Melissa + Jonathan: UCLA Engagement Session

Believe it or not Melissa and Jonathan’s engagement session was the first time I had ever shot on the UCLA campus. I had only experienced it in small parts before getting there to scout some areas to shoot. Jonathan is a UCLA graduate and had the excellent idea of shooting there, I love when my grooms take part in the decision process! Melissa and Jonathan couldn’t be nicer, they happily walked all over the campus with me and seemed to have fun doing it. We started at Royce hall and then just made a circle all around the campus, boy did my calves hurt the day after! Totally worth it though! After shooting their engagement session and getting to know them a little more I am super excited to shoot their Santa Barbara wedding next year.

So here are a few of my personal faves from their campus engagement session:

Valerie - I’m a photographer and a huge fan of your work and looking for some advice. I was thinking of shooting a senior portrait session at UCLA campus. Is it difficult to get around security there or did you actually pay the $2000 permit fee to get on campus. Also…what time of day to you think is best to shoot there?

Just photographer to photographer shop talk here.

    Many thanks,
    ValerieReplyCancel
