We are just going to launch in and say how much we loved shooting with Juselle + Claude (we know…big surprise!). It was especially cool because they decided they wanted to shoot the first half of their engagement session at Carondelet House in Los Angeles. Carondelet is one of our favorite locations to shoot weddings at but we had yet to shoot an engagement session there. It’s a super fun place to shoot because there are so many opportunities for photographers to play with light (both natural and flash) and it’s just a super rad location. They picked Carondelet because in their wedding venue search they found and fell in love with the location. But…it didn’t quite work out for their wedding reception size. Shooting their engagement photos there was the perfect solution!

Obviously, we love all of our couples, but we must say that this blog post holds a very special place in our hearts. Why? Because to the best of our knowledge, there is only one person who actually reads the words in our blog posts, and you are about to see her face alllllll up in here!

We must admit, when Elizabeth told us at Elizabeth + Jake’s engagement session that she actually reads our blog and doesn’t just skip straight to the photos, it was kind of a deer in the headlights moment for us. We crack a lot of jokes up here in the no-eye-zone that we think are absolutely hilarious. Many times we have to ask ourselves “is this an appropriate joke for our blog?” Most times our answer is “Meh! Nobody is going to read it anyway, so we might as well just leave it in.” Thus, when Elizabeth told us that we were caught red handed in our embarrassingly nerdy sense of humor which was so cleverly hidden in plain sight… it was a bit jarring.

Then she told us that she really enjoys reading the blog posts and now we are pretttttty much BFFs. The end.
