What’s that? A senior session? But Marianne, I have never seen a senior session from you before!

That is correct! I 100% consider myself a wedding photographer but I also believe it is important to go out and shoot all kinds of stuff. It keeps you fresh and inspired. I have just discovered that Senior Sessions are a blast! I have a little background in teaching highschool aged kids so I already knew that I got along with them (maybe it’s because I will always be 16 at heart). It was so much fun to be able to hang out with Parveen, chat about life, and get her some fun photos that she can share with all her friends. Everyone should get to feel like a fashion model once in awhile.

Here is a little teaser form her funky Senior Session in Thousand Oaks.

A few weeks ago I got a phone call from Toya. Wait, make that 2 phone calls and an e-mail in a span of 20 minutes. I knew right away she was going to be completely into her engagement session. I love when couples think about their session and are excited. The best is when all that prep has gone into it and then we can just relax and have a good time shooting. This is exactly what Tony and Toya did. We decided to do their session in Santa Monica. We strolled around 3rd street and then headed to the packed Pier (that what we get for shooting on a weekend). Despite the crazyness of busy Santa Monica we had a great time!

Sadly I will not be shooting their wedding in Oklahoma later this year but I am sure it will be beautiful and wish them the best with all of their planning!

Here it is folks! The super fun session photos from Laura and Miguel’s e-session in Old Town Pasadena and a hiking trail in Thousand Oaks.

I truly believe that Laura and Miguel are meant to be together. It was as if destiny kept trying to put them together throughout their lives. It really shows in their interactions together. They are fun, loving, and they both have such sweet outlooks on life. Definitely the kinda of “clients” that have turned into friends. I am looking forward to shooting their wedding this October in Fillmore.

Here are just a few of my favorites from their session:
